Short reports on ECS;

First of all, I would like to thank Uchimoto Laboratory for the opportunity to attend an overseas academic meeting. It was my first time to travel to the U.S. and to attend an international academic meeting. Although I encountered many problems with the visa application, I was finally able to travel to the U.S. and attend the ECS Meeting (Electrochemical Society) on time.

The meeting was not as serious as I thought it would be, everyone was dressed casually and had a nice conversation. After my presentation, some professors gave me very constructive comments and I exchanged contacts with many students who were interested in my research. I gained a lot of useful information for my research from the interaction with the faculty members and students. I was impressed by the enthusiasm and openness of everyone in research.

Atlanta is a heroic city that was once the main organizing center of the American civil rights movement. Martin Luther King Jr. and Ralph Abernathy were all active in this city. This trip gave me a deep sense of the clash of cultures and gave me a better understanding of America.

Lastly, I would like to thank my fellow travelers along the way, and professor Uchiyama for treating us to delicious food.
