在学生へのインタビュー(梅 笑寒さん)

梅 笑寒さん 2020年度 修士課程入学

Mei Xiaohan, Master course student from 2020

Q1. Where are you from ?

I brought up in ChongQing, China. And I was graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology, School of Material Science and Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering in 2018.

Q2. Why did you decide to enter our lab ?

When I was an undergraduate student, I was interested in lithium ion battery. Lithium ion batteries have been used in many products and have achieved great market share. However, traditional lithium ion batteries have critical safety issues because of use of highly flammable organic liquid electrolytes or polymer electrolytes which is easy to cause fire accidents if they are improperly used. So I developed a great interest on all solid state battery because its safety and high thermal stability. In Uchimoto laboratory, they are focusing on solid state batteries research and have done a great job on it. And that’s the reason I chose to join here.

Q3. How do you feel our lab ?

Our laboratory has various experimental devices and people are able to arrange their own schedule to do experiment. Professors are very nice. They respect students’ choice of different topics and help us as much as they can . There exist lots of opportunities for students in our lab to talk with professors and students top-class in the field of electrochemistry all over the world.
